Carrier Calculated Shipping (CCS)

Carrier Calculated Shipping (CCS) is the Shopify feature our app cannot work without. It is what lets us show the customer a list of the nearest InPost pickup points in checkout, matched to the address they entered. Without CCS, the app will not display any shipping options at all.

Important: CCS is enabled by Shopify, not by us - we have no access to it. In most cases you need to ask a support agent in the Help Center chat (Chat with a human). The AI assistant is not allowed to enable CCS, so ask for a human straight away.

How to enable CCS

CCS is not available on every Shopify plan - on some plans you have to ask support for it, on others it is included. There are three paths below; pick the one that matches your store.

For the total cost of the app together with CCS, see Pricing and billing.

Option 1: Grow plan with annual billing - the most common choice

Requirements: an active Grow plan billed annually
Cost: no extra charge - the feature is included in the plan

  1. Log in as the store owner

  2. Go to Settings → Plan and choose Change plan → Pay annually

  3. Open the Shopify Help Center, click Chat with a human, and make sure you are talking to an agent, not a bot

  4. Paste this message:

Hi! My store is on the Grow plan with annual billing, which includes Carrier-Calculated Shipping at no extra cost. Could you enable this feature on my store? Thanks in advance!

Bonus: annual billing also cuts your Shopify bill by 25%

Option 2: Grow plan with monthly billing - à la carte add-on

Requirements: an active Grow plan billed monthly
Cost: +$20 USD per month added to your Shopify bill

  1. Log in as the store owner

  2. Open the Shopify Help Center, click Chat with a human, and make sure you are talking to an agent, not a bot

  3. Paste this message:

Hi! My store is on the Grow plan with monthly billing. I’d like to add Carrier-Calculated Shipping for the additional $20/month fee. Could you enable it on my store? Thanks in advance!

Tip: if you plan to stay on Shopify for a while, switching to annual billing (Option 1) usually works out cheaper - you get the feature at no extra charge and cut your bill by 25%.

Option 3: Advanced plan - no support contact needed

Requirements: the Advanced Shopify plan
Cost: no extra charge - CCS is enabled by default

  1. Log in as the store owner
  2. Go to Settings → Plan and choose Change plan → Advanced
  3. That is it - the feature switches on automatically, you do not need to contact anyone

Tip: Advanced costs considerably more than Grow, so this option makes sense if you also need the plan’s other features. If CCS is all you are after, Option 1 or 2 will be cheaper.

CCS can switch itself off

Shopify can disable CCS automatically when your store subscription changes - most often after:

  • a plan change,
  • a change of billing frequency (monthly ↔ annual),
  • a change of billing currency,
  • pausing and reactivating the store.

Your app settings stay untouched, but the pickup points disappear from checkout.

What to do if pickup points suddenly disappeared:

  1. Open the app - if CCS is inactive, you will see an error message.
  2. Follow the CCS enablement steps from the matching option above again.

If there is no error message, the cause is somewhere else - see Pickup points are not showing in checkout.
