About the app

Why InPost – Tale Commerce?

The Shopify App Store lists several apps for InPost pickup points. At first glance they look alike - the differences usually show only after the first orders come in. Here is what we think is worth checking when you choose.

Accurate pickup points

The pickup point list in checkout is only as good as the match for the buyer’s address. That’s why address matching is the part we’ve been refining for years, so buyers see points that are actually close to them - including on new streets and housing estates, and in small towns whose name is shared by a dozen other places in the same country.

For stores with a high order volume, we also recommend adding a Google Maps API key, which matches addresses even more precisely.

Pickup point data is refreshed every hour, so buyers won’t pick a point that is temporarily unavailable.

A fast and stable checkout

When a buyer enters their address, Shopify waits for the app’s response before showing shipping options. 95% of the app’s responses reach Shopify in under 250 ms - Shopify’s own measurement over the last 28 days, not our servers’. Shopify requires shipping apps to respond in under 500 ms for Built for Shopify certification - the app answers twice as fast and doesn’t slow down your checkout.

Over the last 12 months, the app’s uptime was 99.99%. It also runs independently of InPost’s servers, so an InPost service outage does not switch off pickup point delivery in your store.

11 countries, each done right

The app supports pickup point delivery in 11 countries. In each of them:

  • Buyers only see points in the destination country. A customer with an address in Belgium sees points in Belgium - even if they live right next to the French or Dutch border.
  • Shipping options use the local name and brand. InPost, Mondial Relay, Austrian Post, or Express One - the app picks the right name for each market on its own, with no setup needed on your side.

Pricing that fits your markets

  • A currency for each country. For each country, you choose the currency you set the shipping cost and thresholds in - even if your store does not sell in that currency. Shopify converts the amount to the checkout currency. See: What happens if the store doesn’t support the currency set for a given country?
  • Thresholds count discounts. The free shipping threshold and the minimum order value are calculated from the cart value after discounts - just like Shopify’s native rates, so buyers don’t see different rules for different shipping options in checkout.
  • Minimum order value. You can offer pickup point delivery only above a set cart value.
  • Weekend delivery. In Poland, the app supports InPost’s Weekend Delivery service (Paczka w Weekend).

Proven in practice

  • On the market since April 2020 - the first app in the Shopify App Store built for the Polish market
  • The highest-rated and most popular app for InPost lockers in Poland
  • Built for Shopify certified - Shopify reviews the app for performance, security, and how well it fits into the admin
  • Works with shipping tools such as Base, Apilo, and Furgonetka - see How to ship with InPost?

Who’s behind it

The app is made by Tale Commerce. We also make Atlas Pickup Points - a pickup point app that supports more than 60 carriers in 40 countries and won the Shopify Build Award 2025. Our apps are used by Avon and many other brands. What we learn building one app goes into the other. Not sure which one you need? See how the two apps compare.
