FAQ

What the app does - and what it doesn't

The app does two things:

  1. It displays a list of the nearest pickup points in checkout based on the shipping address and lets the customer select one of them.
  2. It saves the ID of the selected point on the Shopify order - where shipping tools or your own integration can read it.

What the app does not do:

  • It does not create shipments, generate labels, or produce tracking numbers. You ship your orders through tools such as Base, Apilo, or Furgonetka, or manually - see How to ship with InPost?
  • It does not connect to your InPost account or the InPost Parcel Manager. Orders will not appear on your InPost account automatically - that happens only once a shipping tool passes them there.
  • It does not require a contract with InPost or an API key. Learn more: Do you need a contract with InPost or an API key for the app to work?
  • It does not modify payment methods. The app only adds shipping methods - it does not add, hide, or modify any payment methods in checkout.

Who makes the app

The app is made by Tale Commerce - not by InPost. For matters concerning the parcel itself, your InPost account, InPost pricing, or the InPost Parcel Manager, contact InPost. The Shopify App Store also lists similarly named apps by other developers - you can recognize requests and questions about our app by the developer name Tale Commerce. And if you are not sure where to direct your question - drop us a line, we’ll gladly help you figure it out.
