If pickup points do not appear in checkout - for all customers or only some of them - don’t worry, it’s usually one of a few typical causes. Go through the checklist below in order and chances are you’ll find the fix quickly.
1. Check that CCS is active
Shopify may automatically disable Carrier Calculated Shipping (CCS) - for example after a plan change, a billing frequency change, or pausing and reactivating the store. This is the most common reason why an app that worked for months suddenly stops. If CCS is inactive, the app displays an error message. In that case, follow the instructions again: Carrier Calculated Shipping (CCS).
2. Check that displaying pickup points is enabled
In the app settings, make sure the option to display pickup points is enabled for the country in question.
3. Check your shipping profiles
The app shows in its settings which shipping profiles it is enabled in. If you use additional shipping profiles, make sure the app is enabled in the profile your products belong to - products in a profile without the app will not see pickup points in checkout.
4. Check that the product is physical
Pickup points are only displayed for products that require shipping. In the Shopify admin, open the product page and in the Shipping section check This is a physical product.
5. Enter a complete, real address
The list of pickup points appears only after a complete shipping address is entered. When testing checkout, use a real address - pickup points may not appear for addresses that do not exist.
6. Check your exclusions
If you use a weight limit or tag-based exclusions, the cart may have been excluded from pickup point delivery. Learn more: How to exclude certain products from shipping to pickup points?
7. Remove manually added rates
If a manual rate such as “InPost Locker” was added in the shipping settings before the app was installed, it’s best to remove it. A customer can select that rate instead of the app’s shipping method - and then the order does not contain a pickup point ID.
8. Wait or refresh the checkout
Shopify caches the proposed shipping methods for a given cart for 5 to 15 minutes, so settings changes are not visible immediately. Learn more: Changes in settings are not reflected in checkout.
